CAREER:
Still awaiting his first chance to help Mississippi State on the game field.
Made progress at the quarterback position during the first three weeks of spring ball before missing the final three practices due to an off-the-field incident . . . Completed 14-of-27 passes (.519) for 151 yards, no touchdowns but no interceptions, during the first two spring scrimmages.
Sat out his true freshman season as a redshirt.
Ranked the No. 31 prospect in the state of Georgia prior to his senior season by the Rivals.com recruiting web site . . . Rated the No. 72 player, regardless of position, in the state of Georgia prior to his senior season by recruiting web site Scout.com . . . Credited with running a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE Training Camp . . . His 32-inch vertical leap at that camp was the fifth best among all quarterbacks . . . Also participated in the Atlanta Elite 11 Passing Camp prior to his season campaign . . . Rushed for 1,210 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 2,639 yards passing and 21 more TDs during his final two prep seasons . . . Only played in four games during his senior season for head coach Robert Dendy at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Ga., due to injury . . .
