Walked on the Mississippi State football program in 2004 . . . Redshirted the ’04 season after transferring from Grambling and did not play in 2005 . . . Has played in eight games during his MSU career, seeing all of his action during his junior campaign . . . Has rushed 32 times for 89 yards, a 2.8-yard per rush average . . .Has also caught three passes for 17 yards, a 5.7-yard average . . . Started his collegiate career at Grambling after a solid high school career in the Louisiana prep ranks.
2006:
Played in eight games during his junior season at MSU . . . Only missed seeing game time in the season opener vs. South Carolina, Week 3 action against Tulane, and back-to-back games vs. Georgia and Kentucky in Weeks 8 and 9 . . . Rushed 32 times for 89 yards, a 2.8-yard per rush average . . . Caught three passes for 17 yards, a 5.7-yard average . . . Rushed once (1 yard) in his first collegiate action against Auburn in Week 2 . . . Carried the pigskin twice (minus 3 yards) at UAB in Week 4 . . . Added another carry (1 yard) a week later at LSU . . . Picked up 13 yards on two carries vs. West Virginia in Week 6 . . . Added three carries for 9 yards a week later against Jacksonville State . . . Had his best game of the year, a breakout performance at Alabama in Week 10 . . . Rushed eight times for 27 yards, a 3.4-yard average, in the win over the Crimson Tide. . . Carried two times for 14 yards, a pair of third-down conversion rushes on MState’s final offensive possession of the 24-16 win, salting away the triumph . . . Picked up 8 on a third-and-4 situation at the Alabama 34 with 3:04 to go in the game and added 6 more on a third-and-4 at the UA 20 with 1:48 left . . . Rushed eight times for 17 yards, a 2.1-yard per carry average and caught a pair of passes (8 yards) vs. Arkansas in Week 11 . . . Also had a pair of pass receptions (8 yards) against the Razorbacks . . . Gained 24 yards on seven carries, a 3.5-yard average, in the season finale at Ole Miss . . . Helped lead coach Levi Washington’s team to a 7-4 record and a post-season first-round playoff appearance during his senior season on the gridiron . . .
