CAREER:
Has battled injury throughout the early stages of his Mississippi State playing career . . . Has played in 19 games, including 10 during his sophomore year, but his time has been reduced by injury . . . Has earned four starting calls in the wide receiver rotation . . . Has caught 13 passes for 227 yards, a 17.5-yard average per catch, and one touchdown . . . Also has made one tackle . . . Redshirted his true freshman season . . . Came to the Bulldog program as a standout receiver at nearby Noxubee County High School.
Injury-plagued career continued into spring 2006 when he was limited to basic drills by a torn tendon in his finger . . . The ailment precluded catching the football and he did not scrimmage . . . Will rejoin the battle for playing time in the wide receiver rotation when two-a-days open.
Played in 10 games during his sophomore campaign for the Bulldogs, missing only the Week 9 Alabama game due to injury . . . Received four straight starting assignments on the year, Weeks 5-8 (LSU, at Florida, Houston and at Kentucky) . . . Caught seven passes for 137 yards, a 19.6-yard average, and one touchdown . . .
