CAREER:
Still awaiting his first opportunity to help Mississippi State on the game field . . . Came to the program following a solid high school career in Tennessee.
Benefited from his first spring practice at State to continue development in the West Coast Offense . . . Completed four-of-10 passes for 30 yards and a pair of interceptions in the spring-closing Maroon and White game.
Sat out the season as a true freshman redshirt.
Attended the Baton Rouge NIKE Training Camp and finished second among all quarterbacks with 14 repetitions of 185 pounds on the bench press . . . Rated the No. 15 prospect in the state of Tennessee following his senior season by recruiting web site Rivals.com, the No. 2 ranked quarterback . . . Scout.com listed him as the No. 19 prospect in Tennessee, again the second-rated quarterback . . . Two-time all-state performer, who did not miss a game in four years as his school's starting quarterback . . . Led his prep team to the state playoffs three straight years . . . Completed 303-of-593 passes (.511) in his career for 4,354 yards and 41 touchdowns . . . As a senior for head coach Steve Lindsey at Lexington (Tenn.)
