JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Threw for 5,333 yards and 54 touchdowns during his two-year junior college career at Foothill (Calif.) College for head coach Marshall Sperbeck . . . Led Foothill to a two-year, 18-4 overall record, and to two Silicon Valley Bowl championships . . . Named third-team, junior college all-America by J.C. Gridwire following his sophomore season . . . Named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the junior college post-season Silicon Valley Bowl, leading the Owls to a 10-1 record and a national No. 4-ranked finish his sophomore season . . . Finished second in the state of California junior college ranks with 303 yards passing per game during the regular season . . . Completed 185-of-314 passes (.589) for 3,360 yards and 36 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions during his sophomore campaign . . . Helped Foothill lead the nation’s junior colleges in total offense (478.8 yards per game), finish second in scoring (42.8 points), and third in pass offense (304.4 yards per game) . . . Was named first-team, all-state and Player of the Year in Northern California . . . Also earned all-NorCal Conference recognition . . . HIGH SCHOOL:
Named the Valley League Offensive Player of the Year for his father Duane Riddell at McKay High School in Salem, Ore., in his only prep season playing the quarterback position . . . Led the Royal Scots to a 7-3 overall record and berth in the first-round of the state playoffs . . . Completed 104-of-195 passes (.533) for 1,710 yards and 26 touchdowns . . . Started for three seasons at McKay, helping his high school to a 21-10 overall record . . . Was named first-team, all-Valley as a wide receiver as a junior . . . Also accorded second-team, all-Valley and third-team, all-state as a defensive back . . . Tied for the fourth-fastest shuttle time of all players at the Oregon Nike Football camp prior to his senior season . . . Also a standout baseball player on the prep level.
