Made 20 tackles, including one and one-half tackles for loss (minus 6 yards) . . . Had a pair of hits at Louisiana Tech in the season opener in Ruston . . . Added one hit a week later in Mississippi State’s home-opening win over Southeastern Louisiana . . . Registered a 5-yard tackle for loss against Auburn in the club’s SEC opener against Auburn . . . Named first-team, Class 2A all-state in Alabama at linebacker by the Birmingham News for head coach Larry Boykin at Southern Choctaw High School in Gilbertown, Ala. . . .
