Played in five games during his Mississippi State career, all coming during his senior season . . . Earned two starts at tight end . . . Caught a 1-yard touchdown pass, his lone reception . . . Walked on the Bulldog football program.
2008:  
Played in five games during his junior season, earning two starts at tight end . . . Saw action in Weeks 2-5 and against Kentucky in Week 9 . . . Started back-to-back games against Auburn and Georgia Tech (Weeks 3 and 4) . . . Hauled in one pass on the year, a 1-yard touchdown pass . . . Saw his first extensive work at the line of scrimmage in Mississippi State’s home-opening win over Southeastern Louisiana . . . Had a 1-yard touchdown catch, the first reception of his career . . . That score came just seconds before the end of the first half and handed the Bulldogs a 20-3 lead at the intermission.
2007:  
Did not play during his sophomore season.
2006:  
Redshirted his true sophomore season after transferring to Mississippi State from Mississippi College to establish his eligibility.
2005:  
Played tight end and was the team’s long snapper for head coach Norman Joseph at Division III Mississippi College. 
HIGH SCHOOL:  
Played tight end, defensive end and was the team’s deep snapper for head coach Brad Peterson at Forest (Miss.) High School . . . Helped his high school team to a 21-4 record during his final two prep seasons . . . Was named all-state at tight end following his senior year in which he hauled in 18 passes and scored six touchdowns.
