Pressed into immediate service in the Bulldog wide receiver corps from the outset of his collegiate career and becoming a full-time starter by his junior season ... 2007:
Played in all 13 games during his junior campaign, earning eight starting calls in the wide receiver rotation ... Only missed starting the season’s first two games (vs. LSU and at Tulane), at South Carolina in Week 5, and at Kentucky in Week 9 ... Did not open the bowl game ... Finished fourth on the team with 14 catches for 186 yards, a 13.3-yard average, and one touchdown ... After failing to catch a pass in the opener, he made at least one catch in 10 of the last 11 games of the season (missing only against Alabama) ... Caught the first pass of his junior season in Mississippi State’s Week 2 win over Tulane, gaining 33 yards ... That reception came on a third-and-6 snap from the MSU 48 and prefaced Michael Henig’s 18-yard touchdown run that gave the Bulldogs’ a 14-7 lead at the time ... 2006:
Did not dress during the first half of his sophomore season serving a suspension for the violation of athletic department rules ... Played in the final six games of his sophomore season, starting two times ... Made all eight of his catches for 151 yards, an 18.9-yard average, during his first four weeks back ... Returned to the game field with a bang in Week 7 against Jacksonville State ... Led the club in receiving with three catches for 62 yards, a 20.7-yard average, against the Gamecocks ... That total included a 36-yard completion ... Added two more receptions for 24 yards in the first start of his sophomore season during Week 8 at Georgia ... Had a season-long, 49-yard pass reception against Kentucky one week later ... Made two catches for 16 yards in his personal homecoming game at Alabama in Week 10 ... Added a pair of special teams tackles in the win over the Crimson Tide ... Was still trying to establish himself in the wide receiver rotation, he had an inconsistent spring practice period ... Played in all 11 games during his true freshman season and started one time (Alabama) ... Served on Bulldog special teams and as a reserve in the wide receiver corps ... Caught two passes for 25 yards on the season ... Made his only two collegiate catches during Week 9 action against home-state school Alabama ... Gained 25 yards on the two receptions.

Rated No. 18 in the state by Superprep Magazine, the third-best wide receiver in its rankings ... Rivals.com recruiting web site ranked him as the No. 23 prospect in the state of Alabama following his senior season ... Credited with running a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash and with a 245-pound bench press max by Rivals ... That 40-yard dash time was the second-fastest among all wide receivers at the Baton Rouge (La.)
