Played in three games during his redshirt freshman season, seeing all of his action in the year’s first five games -- against Auburn, Tulane and LSU . . . Brought back three kickoffs for 39 yards, a 13-yard average.
2005:
Redshirted his true freshman season at Tulane University.
HIGH SCHOOL:
First-team, Class 5A all-state running back while leading Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, La., to the state semifinals in 2004 . . . Named to the Baton Rouge Advocate “Super Dozen,” symbolic of being one of the top 12 players in the state of Louisiana following his senior season . . . Was named the Class 5A District 5 Offensive Player of the Year . . . Rushed for 1,202 yards and scored 13 touchdowns during that senior campaign at Fontainebleau . . . Also caught 21 passes for 400 yards and three more scores . . . Added a punt return for a touchdown . . . Rushed for 960 yards and 15 touchdowns, while also catching 20 passes for 430 more yards and four scores during his junior campaign . . . Also played baseball and ran track on the high school level
