Game One of Maroon/White World Series Ends In Three-Way Tie

STARKVILLE, Miss. - In a three-team scramble, Maroon, Digi Camo and Gray scored a run apiece in the first game of Mississippi State's Maroon/White World Series on Thursday at Dudy Noble Field.

Redshirt freshman Brant Blaylock was a hard out at the plate, earning all four of Gray's hits in his 4-for-4 performance.

Senior Cody Brown pushed across the first run of the game for Digi Camo with a two-out RBI single that drove in junior Harrison Bragg from second.
Â
Gray then found its way into the scoring column with a groundout by sophomore Cole Gordon that drove in sophomore Elijah MacNamee.

Maroon earned its first run on a sac fly by junior Brent Rooker that drove in junior Tanner Poole.

On the mound, sophomore Spencer Price pitched a pair of one-hit shutout innings for Digi Camo, tallying a game-high three strikeouts.

The Maroon/White World Series will continue on Friday with a first pitch slated for 4 p.m. at Dudy Noble Field.
The Diamond Dawgs will return to Dudy Noble for Game 2 on Friday with first pitch set for 4:05 p.m. Admission is free.
