CAREER:
Fifth-year senior seasoned with playing time in 90 games and 58 starts • Enters his senior campaign with a .321 career batting average and 17 career home runs, second-most on the team • Drew a team-leading 25 starts as a left-handed hitting designated hitter in 2009.
2009:

Saw playing time in five games, collecting one hit in four at-bats • Made his collegiate debut subbing for the DH against South Carolina (Mar. 23) • Made a late-game appearance at first base against Memphis (Mar. 28) and against UL-Monroe (Apr. 3) • Recorded a career-first hit with a single in the first of two at-bats against UL-Monroe • Also used in a pinch-hit role against Louisiana State (Apr. 20) and as a defensive replacement at first base against Southern Miss (Apr. 24) • Noted for his acrobatic pre-game flip leading the team from the outfield huddle to the dugout.
2006:
Sat out the 2006 campaign as a redshirt.

Three-year starter for coach Ted Parsons at Naples' Barron Collier High School • First-team Florida Class 5A All-State pick and Florida Coaches All-Star Team selection as a catcher in 2005 • Paced BCHS with a .452 batting average, 11 doubles, six home runs and an .849 slugging percentage • Led Southwest Florida region in home runs and ranked fourth in batting average • Earned team MVP, all-county and All-Southwest Florida All-Star Team honors • Starred on teams that captured three straight district crowns and reached the regional finals twice • Dean's List and academic honor roll scholar • Recipient of the Bright Futures Scholarship Award and named Mr. Barron Collier HS • Hit .418 as a junior and .366 his sophomore season in 2003.
