Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll · Saw action in just nine games for the Bulldogs as a reserve, hitting .571 (4 for 7) with a double and 5 RBI · 1 for 1 with an RBI single on March 5 against Mississippi Valley State · Went 1 for 2 with an RBI on February 27 against Rhode Island · 1 for 1 with an RBI on February 23 against Samford · Drove in a career-best two runs on February 15 against Portland, going 1 for 2 in the contest.
2012:
One of two Bulldog freshmen to exercise freshman redshirt option in 2012 • Hit .295 playing summer league baseball with the fellow Bulldogs Alex Detz, Trey Porter, Will Cox and Chad Girodo on the California Collegiate League co-champion San Luis Opsibo Blues.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Four-year starting shortstop at Belle Chasse High School • Coached by Nathan Stockman • Ranked second in the state with a sizzling .619 batting average as a senior • First-team Louisiana Sportswriters Association All-State Team selection • Also paced the BCHS Cardinals with 60 hits, 62 RBI, 18 doubles, 33 extra-base hits and a remarkable 1.237 slugging percentage • Also belted 12 home runs, legged out three triples and pilfered 13 bases • Earned first-team Louisville Slugger High School All-American and New Orleans Metro Player of the Year honors in 2011 • Helped lead the Cardinals to a 23-6 record and a third consecutive district championship • Hit .421 and blasted six home runs as a junior en route to first-team Louisiana all-state honors in 2010.
