Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll twice · Played in 101 games for MSU, starting in 89 of them · Hit .235 in two years with the Bulldogs, smashing four home runs and driving in 38 runs.
2013:
SEC Academic Honor Roll · Played in 37 games, starting 27, mostly at catcher · Hit .242 with 11 runs scored, 6 doubles, a triple and a home run to go along with 15 RBI · Drove in a pair of runs against Kentucky on March 22 · Against Southern Miss in Pearl on March 12, was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI · On March 8 against Central Arkansas, hit an RBI double · Hit an RBI double on March 5 against Mississippi Valley State · Was 2 for 5 with a pair of runs scored and a triple on February 26 vs. Rhode Island · 2 for 3 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBI on February 17 against Portland · On Opening Day against Portland, was 4 for 6 with two RBI and a double.
2012:
Bulldogs' starting catcher in 62 of 64 games • Hit .232 and ranked second on the club with 35 runs scored and fifth with 51 hits • Opening day starting catcher against Washington State (Feb. 17) • Registered his first collegiate hit and the first of 11 multiple-hit games a day later against the Cougars • Caught but did not start behind the dish against Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 25) and at Southeastern Louisiana (Mar. 14) • Doubled in two runs against MVSU (Feb. 25) for the first of his five multi-RBI games • Set a career-best for hits with a 3-for-4 outing against Arkansas (Mar. 23) • Registered four-hit SEC weekend series against Arkansas (4-for-10), at Auburn (4-for-13) and Ole Miss (4-for-12) • Registered four game-winning RBI, including an 11th-inning sacrifice fly in the series-opener Tennessee (Apr. 19) • Fielded at a .990 clip and threw out 15 potential base-stealers while picking off four others • Hit .225 with six extra-base hits and 11 RBI in league play • Closed the year with a six-game postseason hitting streak • Hit .364 (4-for-11) in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional and was named to the regional's all-tourney team • Earned a berth on the 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
