Seasoned right-handed relief pitcher with 50 career appearances and four starts in three seasons at State • Has notched three wins in four decisions against SEC opponents • Among nine Bulldogs from neighboring Alabama • Three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2009:
Junior right-hander who led the 2009 Bulldog pitching staff with 20 mound appearances, with all but two in relief • Drew starts against Alabama (May 1) and at Memphis (May 12) • Compiled a 2-2 record with a save and a 6.93 earned run average • Did not allow a run in 10 of his 18 relief stints • Notched a save against Nicholls (Feb. 28) and earned wins in relief against No. 17 South Carolina (Mar. 14) and No. 2 LSU (May 16) • Took the loss at UL-Monroe (Apr. 1) and in a start against Alabama (May 1) • Registered the longest mound stint of his college career at Vanderbilt (Apr. 24), pitching 5.2 innings and allowing one earned run • Also worked 4.1 innings in relief against Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 25) and 4.0 innings at Tennessee (Apr. 12) • Recorded 21 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, including a season-best three in the start against Alabama • Compiled a 2-1 record and 6.00 earned run average in 11 SEC appearances (one start) and 24.0 innings pitched • Among SEC-leading 19 Mississippi State players named to the 2009 SEC Academic Honor Roll • Played summer league baseball with the Danville Dans of the Prospect League, notching a win and three saves in 13 relief appearances.

Appeared in 14 games, making a pair of mid-season starts • Compiled an 0-1 record with a 7.36 earned run average and 18 strikeouts in 25-2/3 innings • Worked a career-longest four innings in relief against Air Force (Mar. 1) • Registered a season-high with four strikeouts over two innings in his seasonal debut in the series finale at North Florida (Feb. 24) • Also struck out four against Middle Tennessee State (May 6) • Drew his first career start against South Alabama (Mar. 25) and notched his second game-opening mound stint a week later against Austin Peay (Apr. 1) • Was 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in his two starts • Took the loss in his lone sophomore season decision against South Alabama (Mar. 25) • One of a school-record 23 Baseball Bulldogs named to the 2008 SEC Baseball Academic Honor Roll.
2007:
Made 16 relief appearances as a freshman, posting a 1-1 record with a save and a 5.33 earned run average • Made his MSU debut with a scoreless inning of relief against Murray State (Feb. 24) • Allowed just one earned run in his first five appearances • Earned his first career save against tourney host Baylor in the Quala-T Imprints Baylor Classic • Fanned three and allowed one hit over 1-2/3 innings in MSU's 8-6 win over the Bears • Set career-highs with six strikeouts and 3-2/3 innings pitched in his SEC debut against South Carolina (Mar. 23) • Came on to get the final out and earned his first career win in MSU's 10-7 victory over Kentucky (Mar. 30) • Yielded three unearned runs and took the loss in a 7-5 setback at Austin Peay (May 9) • Bounced back with a strong one-hit scoreless relief appearance over 2-2/3 innings against Alabama (May 19) • Picked up his first NCAA postseason experience with 1-2/3 innings of relief against Louisville in the NCAA College World Series • Finished with a 1-0 record and 6.97 ERA in five relief appearances (10-1/3 innings) against SEC competition • Among five Diamond Dogs named to the 2007 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.

Two-year standout pitcher at Hoover High School • Coached by Rick Davis • Posted a 5-3 record with a 2.81 earned run average as a senior • Notched 34 strikeouts in 57-1/3 innings pitched and finished the year with six complete-game pitching performances • Tabbed for Birmingham All-Metro honors • Compiled an 8-3 record with a 2.80 ERA as a junior in 2005 • Earned honorable mention all-state honors after registering 77 strikeouts in 70 innings • Also named to the "Over the Mountain" Birmingham area all-star team • Member of Mu Alpha Theta and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at HHS • Competed in baseball and cross country as a sophomore at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga., prior to moving to Hoover during the 2004-05 school year.
