letter-winner at Baldwyn
High School • Coached by Gregg Tucker • Paced the Bearcats with a .387 batting average in 2010, earning
all-area honors and the team's batting award • Collected 34 hits with 30 RBI,
nine doubles and four home runs, all team-highs • Compiled a 3-4 pitching
record with a team-best 2.92 earned run average • Recorded 84 strikeouts in 48
innings of mound duty, registering four complete-games while holding opposing
hitters to a .157 composite batting average • Honored as both a NEMCABB and a Crossroads
Diamond Club All-Star • Hit .406 and
compiled a 7-3 pitching mark with a 1.20 earned run average and 100 strikeouts
as a junior en route to all-state, all-division, all-area and Jackson Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen honors in 2009 • Also lettered three years in basketball and two
