2013: Saw action in 26 games (nine starts), hitting .219 (7-for-32) with seven runs scored, three walks and an RBI • Reached base twice and scored once in game one of the Feb. 17 doubleheader home sweep vs. Portland • Drew a walk in game two against the Pilots • Recorded his first career hit Feb. 22 vs. Purdue in his third start of the season and tallied another single one day later vs. Samford • Went 1-for-2 with a run scored in the Saint Joseph’s home win March 1 • Accomplished the same feat vs. Mississippi Valley State March 5 • Had his best game of the season in a start March 12 vs. Southern Miss in Pearl, Miss., going 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored • Recorded a hit, walk and scored once against Vanderbilt May 25 in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala. • Played for the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League in summer ball, where he was selected by MLB scouts to the NWL Big League Dreams Showcase.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2012 graduate of Hillfield Strathallen College, a private school located in Hamilton, Ontario • Played summer league baseball for four years as a middle infielder with the Ontario Blue Jays baseball club, coached by Dan Bleiwas • Also a three-time member of the Baseball Canada Junior National Team • Helped lead coach Greg Hamilton’s Canadian team to the Gold Medal game of the 2012 IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in September 2012 in Seoul, South Korea • Started all nine games for Canada in the tournament, lashing two doubles and a triple and posting a .378 slugging percentage • Committed just one error in 61 defensive chances (.984) and hit .270 to earn a berth on the tournament’s 11-player all-star team • Teamed with current teammate Jacob Robson on the Silver Medal-winning team • Hit .511 in 2012 playing for the Ontario Blue Jays, piling up 93 hits with 68 RBIs • Ripped 26 doubles, seven triples and five home runs for an .813 slugging percentage • Tallied 48 stolen bases in 49 attempts.
