CAREER: Appeared in 111 games for MSU after transferring from Shelton State (Ala.) Community College, starting 80 games • Hit .280 (89-for-318) with 59 runs, 36 walks, 32 RBIs, 13 doubles, two triples and a home run • Also stole 16 bases in 23 attempts • Ended his time in Starkville with a .990 career fielding percentage and six assists • Two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Named first-team all-region and all-state as an outfielder after hitting .371 as a sophomore in 33 games • Scored 45 runs, tallied 23 RBIs and stole 23 bases in 24 attempts • Played multiple positions on a team which won 40 games, won the Alabama Community College Conference Tournament and advanced to the JUCO World Series in Colorado • Earned first-team all-region and second-team all-state accolades as a freshman after recording a .392 average in 42 games • Scored 63 runs, drove in 20 and stole 19 bases in 21 attempts • Struck out just once and walked 30 times as a freshman • Chose Mississippi State over his hometown school, the University of Alabama.

PERSONAL: Born Jacob Alan Vickerson on Nov. 28, 1992 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. • Son of Rebecca Hicks and Richard Vickerson • Brother Nick played for Mississippi State and hit a famous walk-off home run in the 2011 NCAA Gainesville Super Regional • Majoring in business administration.
