2014: Hit .222 in 18 games with six starts at catcher • Recorded six walks, five RBIs, three runs and two doubles • Threw out two baserunners attempting to steal • Ended the season with a .667 clip at the plate against lefties • Drew a walk in relief duty June 1 against No. 1 Louisiana-Lafayette in the NCAA Lafayette Regional • Doubled in his sixth career start May 23 against No. 7 Florida in the SEC Tournament • Singled in the May 9 game against Tennessee • Came back two days later to record the game-winning RBI on a walk-off against the Vols, walking twice and scoring once • Went 1-for-1 with a walk as a fifth-inning replacement April 13 vs. No. 13 Ole Miss • In two starts in the Diamond Classic Feb. 28-March 2, went 2-for-6 (.333) with three RBIs, a double and a run scored, tallying his first hits as a Bulldog • Recorded his first walk and run scored for MSU Feb. 25 in the rout vs. Mount St. Mary’s • Made his first career start Feb. 22 in the second game of the doubleheader vs. Holy Cross • Played summer ball for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Collegiate League, where along with MSU teammate Jake Vickerson helped capture the National Baseball Congress World Series championship • Member of the 2014 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: 2013 Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League All-Star in summer baseball for the DC Grays • Chose Mississippi State over Auburn and Alabama • Hit .350 in 42 games in 2013 with 29 runs and 25 RBIs • Named First-Team All-ACCC and First-Team All-Central Division in 2013, while also taking home the Golden Glove Award at catcher • Played 35 games as a freshman in 2012, hitting .312 with 10 RBIs and 19 runs scored, throwing out 70 percent of all baserunners • Recorded fielding percentages of .993 as a sophomore and .996 as a freshman • Played at the same junior college as current Bulldog infielder John Holland.

PERSONAL: Born Cody Edward Walker on May 7, 1993 in Columbus, Ga. • Son of Brenda Reis of Columbus, Ga. • Crushed the game-winning two-run home run vs. Japan in the championship game of the 2006 Little League World Series, with Columbus, Ga., winning, 2-1 • Majoring in business administration.
