Starting outfielder in 39 games with 22 game-opening stints in

collecting a career-high 39 hits in 46 games played • Played error-free defense
to pace MSU's outfielding corps (no errors in 84 chances) • Opening day starter
in right field, collecting a pair of doubles against Akron
(Feb. 18) • Enjoyed a career night as a mid-game replacement at South Alabama (May 3) • Tied a school record with two triples and added a

Played in six non-conference games and drew three early-season
starts in center field before being sidelined by a shoulder injury • Saw
game-opening playing time against UAB (Feb. 23) and Southeastern
Louisiana (Feb. 26-27) • Hit by a pitch
and scored a run in MSU's 6-5 win over UAB (Feb. 23) • Worked the count for two walks and was struck by a
pitch during his 11 plate appearances as a third-year sophomore • Joined 13

2009:
Played in 40 games as a redshirt freshman, drawing 17 starts and
starting all three positions in the outfield • Hit .290 with 18 hits and 11 RBI
• Made his collegiate debut as a defensive replacement against Northern Illinois (Feb. 20) • Made his debut as a starter in left field and singled
for his first career hit against North
Florida (Feb. 22) • Registered his first
extra-base hit and his first career RBI with a game-winning run-scoring double
against Mississippi Valley
State (Feb. 25) • Hit .359 in 22 SEC games (nine
starts), the team's third-highest league batting average • Lashed his first

recover from a pair of shoulder surgeries in 2007-08.

letter-winner as an outfielder at Oxford
High School • Coached by Bradley Roberson • Hit .333 with seven extra-base hits and eight stolen bases in
an injury-curtailed senior season • Earned offensive MVP honors at the NEMCABB
All-Star Game • Saw limited playing time as a junior in 2006 while recovering
from a fall shoulder injury sustained playing football for OHS • Hit .301 with
late-season duty as a designated hitter • Earned all-district, all-area and
all-state honors as a sophomore, hitting .382, driving in 28 runs and leading
the Chargers with 23 stolen bases • Helped OHS post a 36-4 record and capture
the 2005 Class 4A state championship • Lettered in four sports at Oxford High
School: football, soccer, baseball, track • Earned Class 4A all-state honors as
