2013: Ranked ninth nationally and second in the SEC with 53 walks • Hit .350 in 11 NCAA Tournament starts, going 14-for-40 with nine runs, six walks, two doubles and an RBI • MVP of the 2013 NCAA Starkville Regional and member of its All-Tournament Team after hitting .615 with eight hits and four runs in the tourney • Ended the season having reached base safely in 23-straight games • Finished fourth in the SEC in on-base percentage (.449) and 12th in hits (76) • On defense, recorded a .980 fielding percentage, the best by a third baseman in the history of the program • Part of an infield that turned a school-record 80 double plays (second nationally) • Recorded the most putouts (198) and chances (250) in school history by a third baseman • Hit .318 in 69 games played (66 starts), tallying 43 runs, 31 RBIs, 14 doubles, one triple and a home run • Notched hits in 43 of 71 games, including 20 multi-hit games • Drove in a run in 22 contests, including seven multiple-RBI games • Collected 12 RBIs in a six-game stretch from Feb. 24-March 3, including a career-best three RBIs Feb. 24 vs. Samford and two days later vs. Rhode Island • Had the game-winning RBI twice: Feb. 24 vs. Samford and Feb. 27 vs. Rhode Island • Cranked out his only triple of the season March 5 vs. Mississippi Valley State • Scored a career-high three runs March 12 vs. Southern Miss • Stole his only base of the season April 7 vs. Florida • Finished the home series against the Gators 4-for-11 (.364) with a double and three runs scored • Hit his only home run of the season April 13 at Texas A&M • Earned a career-best three walks April 28 at Vanderbilt, matching the feat originally done March 19 vs. Alcorn State • Tallied a career-high four base hits May 11 at Ole Miss and again May 17 vs. South Carolina • Hit .500 (5-for-10) in the South Carolina series • Registered a hit in all four games MSU played in at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala., going 5-for-16 (.313) • Went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored in MSU’s final game in Hoover vs. Vanderbilt May 25 • Finished game one of the NCAA College World Series with a single, walk and a run scored vs. Oregon State June 15 • Collected two hits, including a double, and tapped the dish once as the Bulldogs advanced to the championship series with a win against the Beavers June 21 • Singled in both games of the CWS Championship Series vs. UCLA to close out the season • Member of the 2013 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Two-time all-conference middle infielder at Cuesta (Calif.) College in 2011 and 2012 • Coached by Bob Miller • Recovered from a 2010 shoulder injury to rank among the top junior college middle infielders • Batted .324 with a .451 on-base percentage in 2012 to help the Cougars post a 23-15 record and claim the Western State Conference crown • Lashed eight doubles and two triples, driving in 32 runs and drawing 32 walks in 38 games • Swiped eight sacks and fielded at a flashy .976 clip, having a hand in 19 double plays • Hit .331 with a .462 on-base percentage en route to First-Team All-Western State Conference honors as a junior • Teamed with former Bulldogs Nick Flair, Chad Girodo and Trey Porter on the California Collegiate League co-champion San Luis Opisbo Blues summer league team in 2012.
