- Finished fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.42 at the Crimson Tide Invitational.
- Earned a fifth-place finish in the 200m dash at the Southern Miss Invitational after running a time of 22.11.
- Also at the Southern Miss Invitational, James ran a season-best 48.36 in the 400m dash.

- Placed third in the 400m dash at the UAB Invitational with a time of 48.87.
- Recorded a fifth-place finish at the Commodore Invitational in the 400m dash with a time of 48.74.
2014 Outdoor
- Ran a personal-best 48.19 at the Alabama Relays.
2014 Indoor
- At the Vanderbilt Invitational, James ran 48.57 in the 400m dash to finish 11th.
- Placed 12th at the New Balance Invitataional in the 500m dash with a time of 1:04.87.
OTHER COMPETITION:
- Competed at the 2010 and 2011 Junior Olympics.
- Finished 1st in the 400-meter dash (48.47) in 2010 and 1st in 2011 (48.94).
