2016: Appeared in 20 games for MSU, all in relief • Made his Diamond Dawg debut on Feb. 21 against South Dakota State in which he struck out five and walked just one in two shutout innings • Earned his first career win in the marathon 14-inning affair at Vanderbilt on March 18, pitching 2.1 innings of perfect relief with a pair of strikeouts • Against Georgia on March 25, earned the win by pitching 3.0 innings of one-hit, shutout relief • Earned his third win of the year on March 29 against Southern Miss at Trustmark Park in Pearl, going 2.2 innings and allowing just a pair of hits while striking out three • Pitched a career-best 5.0 innings at Florida on April 9, striking out four batters and allowing just one run on four hits to earn the win against the top-ranked Gators • Struck out a career-best six batters on May 21 against Arkansas in 4.2 innings of relief, earning the win to seal the Bulldogs’ first SEC regular season title since 1989 • Earned his lone save of the season against Louisiana Tech in game two of the NCAA Starkville Regional on June 5, pitching 3.0 perfect innings of relief with four strikeouts • Played summer ball for the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod Baseball League alongside fellow MSU pitcher Jared Padgett • Made 11 relief appearances and compiled a 1-3 record with a 2.16 ERA and a save • Struck out 12 batters in 16.2 innings pitched.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Drop-down pitcher who recorded a team-low 0.90 ERA in 30 innings of work, allowing just three earned runs • Went 3-1 with five saves, striking out 24 in 17 appearances • Named first-team all-state by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges • Earned MACJC Pitcher of the Week honors for his efforts during the MACJC State Tournament • Played summer ball in 2015 for the Piedmont Pride of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, where he recorded a 1.66 ERA in 21 2/3 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned MHSAA Class 4A All-District honors as a junior and a senior • Notched a 2.72 ERA in 54 innings as a senior, striking out 68 batters with one save • Tallied a 1.96 ERA as a junior in 50 innings of work, fanning 59 hitters with one save • Struck out 18 batters in 12 1/3 innings as a sophomore.
