2016: Made his collegiate debut on March 1 against Alcorn State, tossing two hitless innings with his first collegiate strikeout • Earned his first career start on March 22 against Mississippi Valley State, pitching five shutout innings with six strikeouts • His first SEC start came on the road at Florida in the series finale, and he pitched 4.0 shutout innings to keep the Gators at bay and helped the Bulldogs take the series • Earned the win on April 30 at Alabama, tossing 5.2 innings with a career-best seven strikeouts • Pitched a then career-high 6.0 innings at Auburn on May 15, allowing no runs on just three hits and striking out four • Played summer ball for the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League alongside former MSU teammates Ryan Gridley and Brent Rooker • Made seven appearances, six starts, and owned a 2-1 record with a 1.37 ERA • Struck out 33 batters in 39.1 innings pitched for the Whitecaps.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2015 Perfect Game All-American • 2015 Jackson (Miss.) Clarion Ledger All-State and Dandy Dozen selection after striking out 107 batters and tallying a 1.50 ERA in 65.1 innings • Named first team MHSAA All-State as a junior and a senior • Led Mississippi prep players as a junior in 2014 with 104 strikeouts, including 18 in a no hitter against Pascagoula High School on April 1, 2014 • Finished his junior campaign 9-2 with a 1.01 ERA in 62.2 innings • Struck out 85 hitters as a sophomore in 2013, going 6-3 with a 2.73 ERA in 59.0 innings • Went 2-0 with a 1.27 ERA in 11.0 innings as a freshman.
