GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mississippi State claimed three relay crowns and put three marks inside the Top Five in school history on the final day of the Pepsi Florida Relays.
MSU athletes set 22 new personal-bests over the course of the three-day meet.
The Bulldog men's shuttle hurdle relay team broke the school record in the second event of the day. Willie-Lionel Reed, Ro'Derick Spears, Herbert Wise III and Charles Brockman III posted a time of 57.16 to win the event.
Alon Lewis, Monica Mosley, Riley White and Keturah Smith took the 4x400m relay in 3:35.71, which sits fourth-fastest in MSU outdoor history.
"Today was a really good day for us," head coach Steve Dudley said. "The relay groups put up some very good times today. The meet, as a whole, was very productive, and we put up about 20 times that have the potential to qualify for nationals."
The men's sprint medley team won their event with a time of 3:18.57. The 4x800m team of Daniel Nixon, Freddie Jackson III, Kenya Small and Marco Arop posted the second-fastest time ever by Bulldogs on their way to a third-place finish in 7:22.43.
