STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State's track and field teams will head to Tuscaloosa this weekend for the Crimson Tide Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama.
Alabama will be the only ranked team and the only Southeastern Conference opponent in attendance.
MSU's No. 9 men's program will meet the No. 8 Crimson Tide outdoors for the first time in 2018. The Bulldog women are ranked No. 25, while Alabama's women are No. 23.
"This is going to be a quick meet for us," head coach Steve Dudley said. "We'll compete in a few events on Friday night, then see most of our athletes on the track on Saturday."
Friday kicks off at 3:30 p.m. CT with the women's hammer throw with running events beginning at 8:40 p.m. MSU will run the 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m on the first day.
Saturday action begins at 9:10 a.m. with the women's discus followed by the women's long jump. Running events begin with the 4x100m relays at 11:40 a.m.
