Men’s And Women’s Track And Field Repeat USTFCCCA Academic Honors

STARKVILLE — The Mississippi State men's and women's track and field programs have once again been recognized by the USTFCCCA, capturing All-Academic Team honors alongside several individual accolades.
To earn a team distinction, a program must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Both squads successfully met the criteria, with the men posting a 3.10 GPA and the women recording a 3.51.
In addition to the team award, 18 Bulldogs earned the individual honor. Student-athletes were required to have a minimum 3.25 GPA and finish the indoor season ranked in the top 96 in their respective event or the top 48 regionally after the outdoor season.
Eight men earned the individual distinction: Malachi Burton, Kaden Cartwright, Sherman Hawkins Jr., Roury McCloyen, Juha Närhi, Sam Navarro, Harry Ross-Hughes, and Jayden Thrower.
10 women earned the individual award: Rhoda Adisa, Gabrielle Boulay, Kaylee Clark, Nelly Jemeli, Ramat Jimoh, Camryn Merryman, Anje Nel, Marie Rougetet, Louise Stonham, and Tafada Wright.
Highlighting their dedication in the classroom as well as on the track & field, these student-athletes pursue demanding academic disciplines, ranging from Computer Science and Cybersecurity to Microbiology and Mathematics and Criminology, among others.
