Riley Self Named To 2018 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After having posted a 3.72 ERA with eight saves as a freshman in 2017, Riley Self will begin his sophomore season with high expectations as the sophomore has been named to the initial watch list for the 14th annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.
A native of Coldwater, Mississippi, Self is one of 52 on the watch list and one of eight from Southeastern Conference programs. The midseason watch list for the award will be announced on Wednesday, April 25.
