Boston, Mass. – There was plenty to get excited about for the Bulldogs in Beantown.

MSU"s women won a total of 11 events during the two day period, and scored 111 total points at the Scarlet and White Invitational to run away with first place as a team.

After winning six of eight events yesterday, the ladies picked right back where they left off and won another five events across town at the event hosted by Boston University.

Mia Meydrich was in cruise control in the 3000m run, posting the best collegiate time at 9:18.13. That time was not only good enough for a second place finish, but was also broke the MSU record. On the men's side, Rasheed Tatham took home first place in the 400m dash. The sophomore's time of 47.39 was a personal-best. Tatham also competed in the 4x400m relay later in the day, helping lead his teammates to a second place finish.

Freshman Daniel Nixon grabbed fifth in the 800m run after running a PR 1:50.11. The men placed fifth overall at the Scarlet and White Invitational, competing against a total of 18 teams from around the country.

Willie Reed posted a personal-best 60m hurdle time for the third-consecutive race. His 8.01 second mark today was good enough to propel him to victory in the final round, after coming up just short to his teammate Herbert Wise III in the prelims.

"A great, great performance by our ladies this weekend," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "They came out and just crushed it. You could really tell they were focused on themselves, and on running the best time they were capable of. I am really proud of them all the way around. Our men also had some really impressive performances this weekend. We only have a few more meets to go before SEC's, so we are getting down to the wire here for those hoping to qualify for nationals. We are excited to get back to Nashville next weekend and see what we can do there."
