February 17, 2017 | Track & Field
South Bend, Ind. – With the regular season coming to a close, Mississippi State track and field is shipping up to Notre Dame and the Alex Wilson Invitational to give its relay groups another opportunity to improve before SEC Indoors begin in Nashville next week.
MSU will only be sending two squads to South Bend on Saturday, with a men's 4x400m team consisting of Charles Taylor, Rasheed Tatham, Stephan James, Phillip Smith and Juston Waters. The women will be sending a DMR unit of Rhianwedd Price, Ffion Price, Keturah Smith, Alon Lewis and Charlotte Cayton-Smith.
The women's DMR will take place at 11:45 a.m., while the men's 4x400m relay will close out the day at 3:55 p.m.
"This is an important opportunity for both of these groups to tune some things up before we begin the postseason next week," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "This is a great opportunity for them both to compete against other squads from around the country and to get ready for SEC Championships and beyond."
