MSU To Play At LSU Friday On The SEC Network

BATON ROUGE, La. — To start the third weekend of SEC play, Mississippi State (9-10, 0-4 SEC) travels to Baton Rouge to face LSU (11-4, 2-2 SEC) looking for its first SEC win of the season.
The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network at 6 p.m. from the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Former MSU coach Jenny Hazelwood and Courtney Lyle will be the talent for the game.
"We're really excited to be heading to LSU this weekend," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "LSU has a really good right side. They are strong in the middle and have a senior outsider who is really, really good. They are a good, all around, solid team. They do have a couple of go-to's that we have to look out for."
This is the 66th meeting between the Dawgs and the Tigers. In Baton Rouge, LSU holds a 24-4 advantage with an overall mark of 57-9.

Lehto Chasing The Freshman Assists Record Book ...
Freshman Carina Lehto has been credited with 148 assists this season, the ninth most for an MSU freshman. She is 46 assists shy from tying the eighth spot (Grace Hoyt).
Gray Sets Her Eyes On Total Blocks Record Book ...
Freshman Laura Rose Gray has earned 57 total blocks so far this season. She is in a three-way tie for 10th in freshman history — two away from the ninth-place spot (Mandy Mellencamp).
The First Two Sets Are Crucial…
A deciding factor for the Bulldogs this season is within the first two sets. MSU is 6-0 when winning the first two sets and is 0-5 when losing the first two. When splitting the two, the Dawgs are 3-5.
