MSU Welcomes Georgia Sunday For Annual ‘Dig Pink’ Match

STARKVILLE, Miss. — After three-game road swing, Mississippi State (9-13, 0-7 SEC) eagerly welcomes Georgia (12-8, 2-5 SEC) to Newell-Grissom Sunday for The Dig Pink Match.
Blake DuDonis and Bart Gregory will call the game at 2 p.m. CT on the SEC Network +. Fans can also access the match via the WatchESPN app.
"Every day we go into the gym, we're working hard to get better," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "Georgia is a good team, so it should be a tough match. I'm really happy with the daily hard-work that everybody on the team is putting in."
Sunday marks the 58th meeting. Georgia holds an overall 43-14 advantage, including an 18-6 mark in Starkville.

She surpassed Melissa Kariker (1993-1996) who held the first place spot with 1,707 digs. She missed the game at Missouri due to an injury.

Freshman Carina Lehto has been credited with 148 assists this season, the ninth most for a MSU freshman. She is 46 assists away from tying the eighth spot (Grace Hoyt).
Gray Sets Her Eyes On Total Blocks Record Book ...
Freshman Laura Rose Gray has been credited with 63 total blocks this season. She currently holds the ninth spot for most total blocks as a freshman and is four shy from eighth place (Erin Seago).

After Sunday's match against Georgia, the Bulldogs are back on the road at Arkansas. The game will air next Sunday, Oct. 22, on the SEC Network at 12 p.m. from Fayetteville.
