2008 (JUNIOR):
One of three Bulldogs to start all 31 matches and play in all 107 sets • Paced State with career-best 325 kills (3.04 k/s), 1012 attack attempts, a .162 attack percentage and 30 service aces • Second on club with career-best 224 digs and third with 31 total blocks • Averaged 3.47 points per set • Selected team Most Valuable Player for 2008 • Led MSU in kills in 20 of 31 matches played • Notched her top four career kills totals, including a career-best 22 kills against Auburn (9/28) • Reached double-figures in total kills in 15 matches (seven of her first 10) and registered six double-doubles • Established and then matched a career-high for digs with 14 against Centenary (9/12) and Kentucky (10/24), the top two of her eight double-digit digs showings • Turned in a season-best .536 hitting performance against Tennessee (10/26) with 18 kills and three errors in 28 attacks • Served up three-ace performances at McNeese State (9/5), vs. Nicholls State (9/5), Centenary (9/12) and in the season finale at Alabama (11/28) • Piled up 214 kills in 20 SEC matches (3.24 k/s) • Earned her first career all-tournament team honors at the MSU Classic (8/28-29) and the McNeese State Cowgirl Invitational (9/5-6) • Among six Volleyball Bulldogs named to the 2008 SEC Academic Honor Roll
2007 (SOPHOMORE):
One of six Bulldogs to see playing time in all 29 matches • Played in 107 games and drew 10 starts, including the last six matches of the season • Established career-high with 254 kills, third-most on the team, 128 digs, and 40 total blocks • Reached double figure totals in kills 12 times, including nine of her last 14 matches • Registered a career-best and team-leading 16 kills in State's win at Baylor (9/1) • Had nine kills in 15 error-free attempts (.600) against Austin Peay (9/8) • Reached twin-figures in digs four times, including back-to-back 14-dig performances against Louisiana State (11/9) and Ole Miss (11/11) • Recorded her first three career double-doubles with solid performances against Georgia (10./12), LSU (11/9) and Ole Miss (11/11) • Ranked second on the club with 10 block solos • Tallied five total blocks in matches against Murray State (8/25) and Ole Miss (11/11) • Set career-best mark for service aces with two each at Auburn (11/2) and against LSU (11/9) • Among nine Volleyball Bulldogs to earn a berth on the 2007 SEC Academic Honor Roll • Voted team's Most Valuable Player following spring drills.
2006 (FRESHMAN):
Saw playing time in 17 of MSU's 30 matches as a freshman, drawing nine starts, all against SEC opponents • Made her collegiate debut against Northern Iowa (9/1) • In her second match delivered a season-best five digs against Jackson State (9/8) • Saw duty as the MSU libero against Grambling State (9/9) • Registered her first career kill at LSU (10/1) • Drew her first start against Auburn (10/8) • Piled up a team season-high nine total blocks (three solos and six block assists) in that win over the Tigers • Also tallied seven blocks in MSU's series sweep-clinching win over South Carolina (11/3) • Finished the year with 43 kills and a .255 hitting percentage • Hit a season-best .571 with a personal-best eight kills in 14 error-free attack attempts at Kentucky (10/29) • Concluded the year with 33 total blocks, leading the team in blocks in five matches • Sidelined by an ankle injury the final four matches of the season • Voted most improved player following the 2006 campaign.
PRE-MSU:
Attended Liceul cu Program Sportiv in Targu Mures, Romania • Coached on the prep level by Horea Ardelean • Played outside hitter in club volleyball where she was teamed with current MSU senior Cristina Jucan • A member of the Romanian Junior National Team that won the bronze medal in the 2004 Junior Balcanic Championships • Competed on the Romania Junior Championships title-winning team in 2004 • Named best overall player in the 2004 tournament.

Born Ioana Silvia Demian on July 29, 1987 in Baia Mare, Romania • Daughter of Valeria and Gheorghe Demian of Cluj, Romania • Majoring in art.
