MSU CAREER:
Junior outside hitter and a veteran of 44 matches (22 starts) in two seasons at Mississippi State • One of four Bulldog players hailing from neighboring Alabama • Among seven current Bulldog players who have earned SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades.
2009 (SOPHOMORE):
Played in 22 of MSU's 31 matches, drawing a career-most 16 starts as a sophomore • Ranked sixth on the team with 99 kills • Reached double figures in kills in four matches • Set a career-best with 13 kills at Alabama (9/30) and at Ole Miss (10/9) • Also recorded a 12-kill performance against Eastern Michigan (9/12) and fashioned a .444 attack percentage during a 10-kill effort in MSU's home win over Arkansas (11/13) • Also registered 35 digs and 12 total blocks • Finished with a season-best seven digs against Georgia (9/20) • Set a career-high with four block assists at South Carolina (9/27) • Competed in 18 of State's 20 SEC matches with 13 starts • Finished with 74 kills and 11 total blocks • President's Scholar named to the 2009 SEC Volleyball Academic Honor Roll.
2008 (FRESHMAN):
Played in 22 matches (50 sets) and drew six starts as a freshman • Ranked sixth on the team with 60 kills, 46 against league competition • Also added 40 digs and seven assisted blocks • Made her collegiate debut with three kills in three attack attempts against Grambling State (9/6) • Delivered seven kills with one attack error in 11 attempts (.545) against Nicholls State (9/6) • Totaled a season-high eight kills against Tennessee (10/16) and matched that with an eight-kills showing against Arkansas (11/14) • Registered a pair of assisted blocks in MSU's five-set win over Auburn (9/28) • Registered her first career double-digit statistical total with 12 digs against Ole Miss (11/16) • Missed much of her freshman season spring practice (2009) after undergoing surgery for a foot injury.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Multiple-sport standout at Curry High School in Jasper, Ala. • Starred in volleyball playing for coach Saige Beaty • Tallied more than 800 kills as a senior in 2007 to lead CHS to its first berth in the AHSAA'S 5A Elite Eight in eight seasons • Earned all-state honors in 2007 • Established the state record with 2,697 career kills • Four-time team Most Valuable Player • Also earned first-team all-state honors in softball and honorable mention all-state recognition in basketball 2007 and 2007 Birmingham News West Player of the Year.
