Was a two-year letterman at Vancleave High School in Vancleave, Miss … In his two years at the varsity level, Miller put up an impressive 10-2 record along with a career ERA of a 1.38… He had a 1.13 ERA in 74 innings pitched while also striking out 135 out of 292, or 46 percent of the batters faced during his senior year… He also batted for Vancleave as well, recording a .244 batting average and 33 RBIs in his high school career … He was ranked the No. 6 left-handed pitcher and No. 56 overall pitcher in the state of Mississippi by Perfect Game.
