Hit the field for 46 of MSU’s 56 games in 2008 with 22 starts in center field ? MSU’s starting opening day center fielder at North Florida (Feb. 22) ? Hit .304 with seven multiple-hit games ? Matched a career-high for hits with a 3-for-3 plate performance at Memphis (Apr. 8) ? Also walked and stole a base against the Tigers ? Notched two-hit outings against Air Force (Mar. 1), Ole Miss (Mar. 15), UAB (Mar. 18), Auburn (May 4), Louisiana State (May 11), and Arkansas (May 17) ? Totaled 13 multi-hit games, including three-hit performances at Florida (Mar. 18), vs. South Carolina (Mar. 24), and in back-to-back games at Tennessee (Apr. 13) and against Mississippi (Apr. 17) in the Governor’s Cup game in Pearl, Miss. ? Drove in a season-high three runs in his 3-for-5 plate performance at UT ? Drew three walks and scored three runs against Troy (Mar. 2) ? Compiled a team-best .363 batting average, seventh-highest batting average in the BSC, and paced the league with 82 hits ? Led his team and ranked second in the Big South Conference (42nd in NCAA) with 27 stolen bases in 29 attempts ? Saw playing time in all 55 BSC games, 54 as a starter ? Speedy lead-off hitter who led the Panthers with 56 runs scored, 28 multiple-hit games and a season-closing, team-longest 16-game hitting streak ? Registered a career-high with a 3-for-4 plate performance in his collegiate debut against Austin Peay (Feb. 17) ? Also registered four multi-stolen base games, pilfering a career-high three against Trevecca-Nazarene (Apr. 11) ?
