2017: Strong-tossing righty who appeared in 10 games, making five starts • Prior to his freshman season, was ranked No. 20 in Perfect Game’s Top 50 college freshmen, the No. 5 impact freshman in the SEC by D1 Baseball and the No. 4 SEC prospect in the 2019 MLB Draft by Perfect Game • Earned his first career win in 5.0 inning start against Marist on Feb. 25 • Made first relief appearance March 7 against Louisiana Tech and struck out the only batter he saw • Struck out four in 2.0 relief innings March 12 versus South Alabama to collect second win • Only allowed one hit in 2.0 innings of shutout relief work against Southern Miss, March 21 at Trustmark Park • Tossed 1.1 innings of no-hit relief, while striking out two, April 1 at Ole Miss • Struck out four vs. FIU before a hip injury ended his freshman season.
