2007:
Started 28 of his 50 games played as a junior, all in right field ? Hit .209 with nine extra-base hits and 18 RBI ? Platooned with Jeff Flagg in right for the first two months of the season, drawing 18 game-opening assignments in the first 20 games ? Legged out a triple in his first at-bat of the season against Murray State (Feb. 23) ? Had six multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games ? Doubled, singled and drove in two runs against Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 27) and recorded back-to-back two-hit games against UAB (Mar. 6) and Jacksonville State (Mar. 7) ? Saw limited playing time in the second half of the season but returned to starting status in five of MSU’s final nine games ? Made his debut as a Diamond Dog against Marist College (Feb. 24) ? Legged out a triple in his third plate appearance to register his first career hit ? Carded the first of four extra-hit games a day later with a pair of singles against Marist College (Feb. 25) ? Earned first-team NJCAA All-America honors as an outfielder at Itawamba Community College in 2005 ? Forced by injury to redshirt his initial season with coach Rick Collier’s ICC Indians in 2004 ? Hit .412 with 59 RBI and 36 extra-base hits ? Hit 20 home runs, sharing the NJCAA home run title with ICC teammate Kyle Mills ? Recipient of the Easton Defensive Player of the Year Award as the nation’s top defensive player ? Played error-free defense for the Indians with 10 assists ? Also paced the 11th-ranked Indians with 48 walks and a .575 on-base percentage ? Made four starts on the mound, posting a 1-2 record with a 2.04 ERA and one complete game.
