Diamond Dawgs Take Game One Over Mount St. Mary's

Eight different Bulldogs picked up a hit in the contest
STARKVILLE - The Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, 12-2, in a complete team effort on Thursday from Dudy Noble Field. The Maroon and White accumulated 12 hits, 12 runs, and 11 RBIs for the game while only giving up two runs defensively and limiting Mount St. Mary's to six hits in the contest.
Nate Dohm drew the start tonight and recorded his second straight victory of the season. Dohm tied his career-high with seven innings of work, while striking out eight and only giving up one run. Brooks Auger and KK Clark closed the game for the Bulldogs, striking out three of seven batters faced while allowing no hits, runs or walks.
David Mershon and Hunter Hines led the way at the plate. Mershon went 3-for-4 with one RBI, and Hines led the team with three RBIs. Connor Hujsak and Logan Kohler also had two RBIs each against the Mountaineers. Amani Larry drew a career-high four walks, which accounted for almost half of the Bulldogs' walks today.
The Dawgs and the Mountaineers return to action for game two on Friday at 3 p.m. from Dudy Noble Field. The game will air on SECN+.

Hujsak doubled to deep left which scored Jordan and Chance.
