Women’s Golf Set to Compete in 50th Edition of Georgia’s Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. – The Bulldogs are prepped to travel to the Peach State to compete in one of the nation's longest-running women's collegiate events this weekend. State will tee off at the 50th edition of Georgia's Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic with a loaded field that features eight top-25 teams.
The Bulldogs enter the weekend ranked No. 30 nationally and will compete against No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 4 South Carolina, No. 11 Texas, No. 12 Alabama, No. 13 Southern California, No. 16 Texas A&M, No. 17 Arkansas, and No. 22 Ole Miss. Rounding out the competing teams are Charleston, Georgia Southern, Houston, Louisville, Mercer, and the Georgia "B" team.
State will be competing in the event for the third time with the last time coming in March of 2021. Three players from the 2021 edition will make their return this weekend.
Leading off the Bulldogs will be Hannah Levi who had her best finish of the season last time out when she finished tied for fourth in the Vystar Gators Invitational two weeks ago. Abbey Daniel will make her spring slate debut shooting second. The duo of Blair Stockett and Ashley Gilliam, who are both coming off of top-30 finishes in the VyStar Gators Invitational will shoot third and fourth. Rounding out the lineup for the Bulldogs is Julia Lopez Ramirez who added yet another top-5 finish to her young Bulldog career in Gainesville two weeks ago.
The Bulldogs will be paired with No. 17 Arkansas and will tee off from Hole 10 at approximately 9:17 AM.
