Women’s Golf Completes Day One of Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. – The Mississippi State women's golf team completed the first round from Athens on Friday. After the first round, the Bulldogs are 10th shooting 15-over par.
Julia Lopez Ramirez led State on Friday shooting 2-under par (70) while sitting in first place for the event. Ramirez led the field in total birdies as she sunk five in 18 holes.
Hannah Levi finished tied for 12th with a score of 1-over (73). Levi sunk a field best 17 pars, all in a row from holes 10-8. (State began the first round at Hole 10.)
The junior duo of Abbey Daniel and Ashley Gilliam both finished tied for 59th with a score of 8-over (80).
Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs was Blair Stockett who finished 81st with a score of 15-over (87).
Mississippi State will return to the course on Saturday for the second round from the UGA Golf Course. State will be paired with Arkansas and will tee off from hole 1 at approximately 1:15 PM.
