No. 34 MSU Women’s Tennis Hits Road To Face No. 22 Texas A&M, No. 19 LSU
March 04, 2021 | Women's Tennis
STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State women's tennis team (9-3, 1-3 SEC), ranked 34th nationally in this week's latest ITA poll, is back on the road this weekend to square off against two Top 25 SEC foes in Texas A&M (9-3, 1-1 SEC) and LSU (8-1, 3-1 SEC). The Bulldogs will face the 22nd-ranked Aggies on Friday, March 5, at 5 p.m. CT, before meeting the 19th-ranked Tigers in Baton Rouge on Sunday at Noon.
"We expect two tough battles this weekend," head coach Daryl Greenan said. "There is so much parity in the league this year, so we are pretty even with any team we will play for the rest of the spring. The fact is that it is always harder to win on the road. Picking up wins on this trip will be extremely valuable for us as we get into the thick of our season."

Know the Foe: Texas A&M
No. 22 Texas A&M enters the contest with a 9-3 record, 1-1 in the SEC, with its only losses at then-No. 2 UCLA, at home to No. 20 Baylor, and on the road at Florida in its most recent match this past Sunday. The Aggies lead the Bulldogs 9-1 in the all-time series, and have claimed the last three meetings between the two programs.
Know the Foe: LSU
No. 19 LSU enters this weekend's action at 8-1, 3-1 in SEC play.
