State Women’s Tennis Travels To No. 18 Auburn Thursday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Continuing Southeastern Conference action, Mississippi State's women's tennis team (9-4, 0-2 SEC) hits the road for No. 18 Auburn (12-4, 1-1 SEC) for a Thursday night matchup. The match is slated for 6 p.m. CT at AU's Yarbrough Tennis Center.
Last Time Out for MSU…
In their last outing Saturday, State split a doubleheader with then-No. 34 Florida and Alcorn State. The Bulldogs fell to Florida by a 4-0 mark before defeating the Lady Braves by the same margin. MSU's duo of Sara Lizariturry and Anastasia Rentouli picked up two victories while the tandem of Magda Adaloglou and Janina Braun recorded one.
In singles, Bulldog Caroline Kelly recorded her first career dual match victory against ASU. Adaloglou and Rentouli picked up singles victories in the ASU contest, with Rentouli clinching the match.
About Auburn…
Auburn is coming off of tough 4-3 triumph against No. 17 Kentucky to split its SEC opening weekend. The Tigers have one ranked singles in player in No. 80 Jaeda Daniel. In doubles, Alizee Michaud and Taylor Russo pair together to form the nation's 70st-ranked tandem.
