MSU To Host Maroon Classic To Close Out Non-Conference Play
September 14, 2017 | Volleyball
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State (7-5) closes out the final weekend of non-conference play at the Newell-Grissom this weekend for the second home tournament of the season.
On Friday, the Dawgs face Jackson State (1-10) at noon and North Texas (9-1) at 7 p.m. MSU closes out the Maroon Classic facing Southeastern Louisiana (1-9) at 11 a.m. Saturday.
"We're looking forward to being back home and playing at The Griss this weekend," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "We've stayed relatively healthy so far, and I sure hope that continues because we don't have a lot of depth. We need to improve our attacking efficiency. We've been working hard on that in practice, and it's getting better."
