No. 25 MSU Continues Road Swing At No. 3 Georgia Sunday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After a historic and convincing win Friday, the 25th-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (11-4, 4-3 SEC) continues Southeastern Conference road play Sunday at No. 3 Georgia (12-3, 6-1 SEC) at UGA's Dan Magill Tennis Complex at 12 p.m. CT.
The Bulldogs are coming off their first shutout of Tennessee in program history and the first win in Knoxville since 1987. MSU looks to extend a three-match win streak Sunday, all three having come against ranked foes.
Behind the stellar doubles of play of the duo Madison Harrison and Sara Lizariturry, plus 11th-ranked Jasmine Lee and Lisa Marie Rioux, State secured its first doubles point on the road this season against the Volunteers.
MSU kept up its dominate performance in singles, taking the first three matches in straight sets. State's Harrison recorded her first conference victory of the season, while No. 32 Lee notched her seventh win against a ranked opponent, and Rioux clinched her second match of the season.
Bulldogs Anastasia Rentouli, Khrystyna Vozniak and Lizariturry round out the singles lineup. All held leads Friday when play was suspended.
Georgia is coming off of a 4-2 victory against No. 28 Ole Miss Friday night.
The host team boasts three ranked doubles duos in No. 18 Caroline Brinson and Ellen Perez, No. 28 Elena Christofi and Kennedy Shaffer, and finally No. 68 Marta Gonzalez and Mariana Gould.
UGA also has five ranked singles players in No. 8 Christofi, No. 26 Perez, No. 57 Shaffer, No. 59 Brinson and No. 102 Gould.
