MSU, Pichaikool Finish Tied For Third At Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate

MOBILE, Ala. – Picking up where it left off in the fall, the Mississippi State men's golf team claimed it's fourth Top 5 finish of the season by finishing tied for third at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate.
Spearheaded by freshman Peng Pichaikool in his Bulldog debut, MSU totaled a final round 291.
Pichaikool shot a 1-over-par 73 over the final 18 holes to finish tied for third.
Joining Pichaikool in the top 20 was Jackson Dick, who tied for 19th following a final-round 73.
Junior Taylor Grant fired a 71 on Tuesday to wrap the tournament in sole possession of 22nd. Garrett Johnson finished one spot behind Grant in 23rd after shooting a 74.
Rounding out the Maroon and White scorecard, Ross Bell carded a 74 for the final 18 holes to claim the 34th position.
Georgia State's Alexander Herrmann won the individual title, while Louisville won the team side of the event.
The Maroon and White had four participants in the USA Individual Tournament, which was held simultaneously with the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate.
Taylor Bibbs tied for first after shooting a final round 7-over-par 78. He carded a 73 and 65 in Monday's opening two rounds to finish with a +3 216.
Junior Jacob Ross shot a final round 75 to finish the tournament in fifth place.
Tupelo, Miss., native, Austin Rose carded a final-round 78 to end his second tournament of the season in a tie for 16th.
Ben Follett-Smith rounded out the individual Bulldogs with a final-round 79 that put him in a tie for 22nd.
MSU returns to the links Feb. 27 to play in the Southwestern Jones Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
