ATHENS - Starting its weekend of back-to-back road games, Mississippi State (9-17, 0-11 SEC) travels to Georgia (15-9, 5-6 SEC) for a Friday evening matchup.

Kele Eveland and Kaleb Frady will be calling the game. First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network +. Fans can access the match via the WatchESPN app.

It's the second meeting between the two, with UGA taking the first match.

"We're looking forward to playing Georgia on Friday," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "My team continues to work hard, brings it every day and is getting better. We're starting execute a little bit better and starting to connect with our hitters as well."

Senior Payton Harris eclipsed the 1,000 digs mark for her career last season. On Oct. 1, 2017, against No. 10 Kentucky, Harris achieved the school record. She now has 1,770. She surpassed Melissa Kariker (1993-1996) who held the first place spot with 1,707 digs. She missed the game at Missouri due to an injury.

Harris Lands On The SEC All-Time Career Records List …
Senior Payton Harris is in sixth place for all time digs in the SEC with 1,770. She is 31 digs away from the fifth spot held by Tennessee's Ellen Mullins (2010-13) with 1,801.

Lehto Chasing The Freshman Assists Record Book ...
Freshman Carina Lehto has been credited with 163 assists this season, the ninth most for a MSU freshman. She is 31 away from tying the eighth spot (Grace Hoyt).

Gray Sets Her Eyes On Total Blocks Record Book ...
Freshman Laura Rose Gray has been credited with 70 total blocks this season. She is tied for the seventh spot for most total blocks as a freshman and is one shy from sixth place (Carmen Easley).

Gray Is Chasing The Block Solos Record Book ...
Freshman Laura Rose Gray has earned 16 block solos this season. She is tied for seventh place for most block solos as a freshman. She is two away from a three-way tie for fifth place (Shauna Owens and Sharyn Smith).

Sara Maddox completed her first collegiate game at SMU with a career-high 25 kills. Currently, she has 206 kills and 221.5 points.

Jelena Vujcin leads the team in three categories: kills (310), kills per set (3.44) and points (363.0).

Harris can "dig it"
Senior Payton Harris currently leads the team with 253 digs so far this season. She had a season high of 23 against South Carolina on Sept. 22.
