COLLEGE STATION - Despite the overall aggressiveness from start to finish, Mississippi State fell to Texas A&M in three on Sunday at Reed Arena.

Texas A&M (5-7, 2-3 SEC) defeated MSU (9-11, 0-6 SEC)20-25, 15-25, 13-25 to extend the Bulldogs' losing streak to six.

"I'm proud of the effort our team put in today," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "Effort wise, we're playing hard in spurts. We have to play hard and be focused every play. We're going to learn from this, and I can't wait to get back on the court tomorrow."

Set one went back and forth as no more than five points ever separated the two. Despite errors contributed by both sides (a combined 14), MSU had great communication the entire set capitalizing on kills. Jelena Vujcin had 5 to go along with her 6.5 points. The Aggies' kills were the deciding factor as they took the set, 25-20.

The second was much like the first as kills and errors were the the deciding factors as the Bulldogs struggled to find their groove. A lack of aggressiveness was not the case, but MSU had no counterpunch for A&M's attack game en route to 25-15 setback.

During the final set of play, the Dawgs fought hard and had some sneaky plays. Unfortunately, it ended like the first two. MSU fought with so much aggressiveness, but could not add to the scoreboard, losing 25-13.

"I was proud of the way Vujcin played today," McFatrich said. She played with so much energy and passion. I love it."

The Dawgs travel to Columbia, Mo., on Friday to take on SEC rival Missouri. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network +.

- All-time career digs leader Payton Harris earned 9 digs. She now has 1,736 career digs.
- Laura Rose Gray earned 2 blocks. She currently holds the ninth spot for most total blocks as a freshman. She is five total blocks away from eighth place (Erin Seago).
- Vujcin finished the day with a game-high 14 kills and 15.5 points.
- MSU has now dropped 14-straight sets dating back to Tennessee game.
