Corley, Tatum Earn SEBaseball.com All-Conference Honors

Corley, who leads the Southeastern Conference with 18 home runs and sports the SEC's fourth-highest batting average (.374), earned a place on SEBaseball's All-SEC first team. Monday the Louisville, Ky., native earned his second SEC Player of the Week honor this season after powering the Bulldogs to their first home SEC series win and a 2-1 showing against No. 11 Arkansas last weekend.
Tatum, who has been the starting catcher for all 53 Bulldog games this year, paces the Bulldogs with 54 RBI, and has 72 hits, including a team-leading 16 doubles and 11 home runs. He has retired an SEC-high 25 base runners, 18 on stolen base attempts and seven other pick-offs. The Hattiesburg, Miss., standout was tabbed for second-team all-conference honors.
The Bulldogs (31-22, 10-17 SEC), with a No. 30 simulated RPI ranking as compiled by Boyd Nation (boydsworld.com), travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend to close out their 2004 regular season schedule against Alabama (29-23, 10-17 SEC). First pitch for the series opener is 6:30 p.m. Friday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
