
Stone Tabbed To Baseball America's National Team Of The Week

STARKVILLE – Another day and another honor for Mississippi State's Duke Stone.
A day after being named the SEC's Co-Pitcher of the Week, Stone was selected to Baseball America's National Team of the Week for his performance at South Carolina this past Saturday.
The sophomore right-hander picked up the win against the Gamecocks as part of a 9-0 shutout to clinch the series. Stone posted personal bests in strikeouts (12), innings (six) and pitches (101) while scattering five hits and three walks.
Through 11 appearances and nine starts, the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder from Uvalda, Georgia is now 6-1 on the year with a 3.78 earned run average, 70 strikeouts and only 18 walks across 47 2/3 innings.
Stone is the second Diamond Dawg pitcher to be tabbed to Baseball America's National Team of the Week this season. Tomas Valincius also received the honor on March 24th following his 14 strikeout performance against Vanderbilt.
MSU hosts Memphis on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.
