Taking Down Arkansas Would Mean Big Things For The Dogs…
To say a win on Wednesday at Arkansas would make some history would be a tad bit of an understatement. It would be State's sixth victory in school history against the Razorbacks and the first since winning 3-2 in Starkville on Sept. 24, 2010 (eight-match losing streak). The win would also be MSU's second in Fayetteville in school history, with the other coming on Oct. 28, 2007.
Moving Up The SEC Wins Chart…
A victory on Wednesday would also move MSU to 5 SEC wins on the season, which would tie for the sixth-most conference wins in school history and put State one short of its 2015 total. The two road SEC wins would tie last year's mark as well, which stands as the most since recording three in 2011.
Closing In On History At The Griss…
Sunday's sweep of Tennessee marked the ninth home win this year for the Bulldogs. That puts State one short of tying the program record of 10 home victories in a season, set in 2006 and tied last season. MSU is also on track to own the best home winning percentage in program history, currently with a .750 clip. The program record is .714, set in 2006 when the Dogs went 10-4.
Singleton Continues Dominating Senior Campaign…
Evie Grace Singleton has been the Bulldogs' offensive leader since the get-go this season. After last weekend, she continued to dominate on the stat sheets, starting with a team-high 42 aces, which tops the SEC and stands sixth in the nation. Singleton is also second in the conference and Top 20 in the NCAA in aces per set (0.46), points (415.5) and Top 30 in attacks (989) and kills (356).
Bulldog Block Party…
State's blocking game continues to be its strong point as the team gets SEC play going. MSU is second in the SEC in total blocks with 199.5 and stands 59th in the nation.
Leading the way is senior Jazmyne Johnson, who has totaled 105 total blocks. Johnson is the first Bulldog since Lainey Wyman in 2011 to reach the 100 mark in a season.
Johnson Closing In On MSU's Blocking Top 10…
Johnson's blocking prowess also has her close to etching her name in the Bulldog record books. She now stands just 8 blocks away from tying for 10th place on the MSU single-season blocks list.
Sophomore Slump No Such Thing For Sato…
MSU's sophomore setter Blossom Sato has had a standout season, as she leads the team with 647 assists and a 7.35 per set average. She has already eclipsed the 1,000-assists mark for her career and cracked the Top 10 for career assists at MSU. With 1,519 assists, she currently stands 10th and just nine away from tying Tonia Strube (1987-88) for ninth place.

She currently holds fourth place on the school's career digs list and is 10 digs away from tying Kayla Woodard (2007-10) for third place. Melissa Kariker (1993-96) holds the school record with 1,707.
Hill Making Moves In The MSU Freshman Record Book…
Emily Hill's freshman season has been nothing short of amazing and now she's starting to place her name in the record books after last weekend. Hill's 267 kills are currently seventh-most in MSU freshman history, while her 705 total attacks rank eighth in the MSU freshman annals.
